Vent Bathroom Fan Through Brick Wall

Vent bathroom fan through brick wall. Carver posted in general discussion on march 20 2011 01 54am is there any such thing as a vent that fits into the space that is left when a brick is removed. To remove excess moisture from your bathroom the fan needs to vent outside. Surprisingly enough it is not that difficult to break a hole through the brick and duct it out the side wall of the house especially if you have a rotary hammer. Drive nail through house wall from attic.
Once you establish the center of the hole from the interior you can probably drill it from the outside in all of 5 minutes. Apply caulk around the backside of the wall cap. From outside use 4 inch hole saw to cut hole for wall cap. There are ductless vent fans that use a charcoal filter to remove odors but they do not remove excess moisture which is the main purpose of a bathroom vent fan.
Putting bath exhaust fan through brick wall. This will serve as a reference point for positioning the wall cap. Would that be more practical than cutting a 4 hole with a diamond drill.
