Upvc Door Handle Broken Spinning Round

I have look at the door and can not see how you can tighten anything near to the handle. The key in the euro cylinder rotates fine and locks unlocks without any problem. So it sounds like the hole in the handle that the bar connects in to has possibly worn down and now the handle is spinning as there is no grip on the connecting bar. Try and use a big flat screw driver to open the door where the spindle use to go. To check pull the handle up to see if you have a screw cover on the lower section of the handle and remove it if there is one including the top. Unscrew one handle and remove the spindle. It looks like if you give it a hard pull its coming away from the door just the handle not the handle base it would come away the door is solid and the handle on the interior is fine.

It rotates 360 degrees continuously without any result. Sounds like the latch has gone. After a bit of a silly move by forcing it the handle now just spins around freely and does not lock at all. I ve removed the door handles and checked the spindle but there nothing wrong with it it fits perfectly.
